SCHOOL choirs are in rehearsal for a special concert to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Newton Primary School choir will join choirs from Overleigh St Mary’s CE and Kingsley Community primary schools and the Chester St Cecilia Singers for the special Jubilee Concert at All Saints Church in Hoole on Saturday, April 21at 7pm.
Music being performed includes Parry’s I was Glad and Handel’s Zadok the Priest.
Newton music teacher Sue Stringer said: “The music has challenged the children and is giving them the opportunity to perform music very different from their usual repertoire.”
