A PRE-SCHOOL has been presented with a national award to recognise the care and education it offers.
Antrobus St Marks School received an accreditation certificate from the Pre-School Learning Alliance on Friday, presented by Mayor of Northwich Tom Davies who joined staff, parents and children.
Leader of the pre-school Janet Haworth said: 'This award will ensure that the pre-school nursery continues to receive the proper recognition for the very high standards of education and care we provide.'
The scheme is the first of its kind to recognise the importance of linking early education with high quality care and the significance of involving parents.
Steve Alexander, chief executive of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, said: 'More parents are looking for quality assurance. Those parents need to know the places which will provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children - one that includes good quality educational opportunities appropriate to the children's age and stage of development.'
