Key stage two children at Saighton Primary School were invited into Chester’s Dee 106.3 studios to record Eco messages for broadcast on the air across the network.

The school carried out the project as part of their work on sustainability and Eco Schools Bronze Award status.

Children wrote their own 'fascinating Eco-facts' to appeal to listeners, each with just 30 seconds to get their message across.

Headteacher Mavis Sellers said: “There is such a buzz of excitement here, as you might imagine! Listeners across Chester are going to be hear the messages for the next three months, which is fantastic for the school - and hopefully for the environment.”
