AN AWARD-WINNING golf club has added two more gongs to its already bulging trophy cabinet.

Pryors Hayes GC, in Oscroft, near Tarvin, has recently been voted the best golf club in the North of England and also the best club for societies by Awards for Business Ltd.

The specialist consultancy provided judges for the awards while golfers also had their say.

Martin Redrup, who has owned the club for the last 10 years, said: “To be recognised by golfers and the leisure golf industry is doubly gratifying.

“The awards are a great compliment to the Pryors Hayes team who constantly strive to make everyone feel welcome.

“We endeavour to provide more than just a round of golf, and it’s fantastic to know that others appreciate our efforts.

“Giant strides have already been made in order to create the ultimate golf and social experience. However, to continually improve is our goal.”

Pryors Hayes have enjoyed a recent rise to prominence having been voted most friendly club, club of the year and community club of the year by Club Mirror Awards judges in 2009.
