A SMOKING ban in all buildings owned by Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council is set to take effect from April 2006.
The ban will apply to entertainment venues such as the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe and the Civic Hall in Nantwich, where cigarette vending machines will be removed at the earliest opportunity.
The council will be asked to approve the measures at a meeting today after more than six months of consultation with the public.
