TWENTY witnesses will give evidence in an inquest into the death of a father in a factory explosion.

North East Wales coroner John Hughes will hold the full inquest into the death of Mark Wright, 37, in May.

The three-day case will be heard by a jury over three years after the father-of-two, of Wrekin Way, Saltney, died from inhaling high temperature gases at Deeside Metals, Saltney, in April 2005.

He was using a baler machine to crush aerosols when they ignited, creating a fireball that left him with 90% burns.

Evidence will include statements by emergency services, Mr Wright’s widow Andrea and his colleagues.
