POLICE are appealing for witnesses after three burglaries took place on the same day in the same area of Northwich.

Two houses on Shipbrook Road and one on Gadbrook Road in Rudheath were broken into on the afternoon of Tuesday last week.

A woman's ring valued at £80 was stolen from one of the houses on Shipbrook Road after the offenders gained entry to the house via a side kitchen door. The incident occurred between 3pm and 4pm and a search of the house was made before the ring was stolen.

The other burglary on Shipbrook Road occurred between 8.15am and 5pm. The offenders gained entry to the property via a rear door and stole gold and jewellery worth £1,260.

The burglary on Gadbrook Road took place between 3pm and 7pm, when the offenders forced a rear door and stole about £760.

Sgt Keith Beresford, of Northwich police, said the incidents have not been linked yet.

He said: 'At this stage we cannot link these incidents, but as they all happened in the Rudheath area in the same afternoon, it is a possibility that they are connected.
