A CERTIFICATE of lawful development was issued covering proposals for eight private kennels in Chester’s Green Belt.
The certificate was requested by Mrs E Simpson at Springfield, Ledsham Lane, Ledsham.
Mrs Simpson told planning officers she was seeking confirmation the erection of the kennel block would not require formal planning permission.
A report pointed out : “There is no general rule of thumb relating to the number of animals. However it is generally accepted that more than six dogs would require planning permission.”
Mrs Simpson said she wished to keep eight dogs in the kennels and confirmed they were for her enjoyment. The kennels would not be used in connection with any commercial activity or breeding.
