MAKE it an unforgettable Bonfire Night with our cracking poster competition.

We have teamed up with Sycamore Park Garden Centre in Great Sutton to launch its annual firework safety campaign.

The winners of each age group in the design contest get cash prizes for themselves and their schools.

Sycamore Park is renowned locally for its extensive range of fireworks, from small selection boxes to the giant £59.95 Victory Broadside.

But as a responsible retailer, it also wants to promote the importance of firework safety.

So the centre, on Chester Road, is looking for colourful A4-sized posters from children aged 5-11.

Entries must promote this year's fireworks slogan: 'Be Safe, Not Sorry. Always Follow the Code.'

To enter, design an A4-sized poster using crayons, coloured pencils, paints or felt tips.

Then write your name, address, age and school on the back.

Visit www.dti.gov.uk/fireworks for some inspiration for your design.

All entries must be received by 10am on Tuesday, November 2. Send them to: Fireworks Contest, Pioneer, 66 Whitby Road, Ellesmere Port CH65 0AA.

The competition will be divided into two age groups - five- to seven-year-olds and eight- to 11-year-olds.

The winner in each group will receive a £35 centre voucher for themselves and a £35 voucher for their school, while the best entries will be displayed at Sycamore Park.

Vouchers can be spent on a large range of products at Sycamore Park, including toys, Christmas gifts and decorations, indoor and outdoor plants and gardening equipment.

Prizes offered must be accepted - there is no cash equivalent. Usual Pioneer competition rules apply.
