THOUSANDS of child pornograpic images and videos were allegedly found on the computer of a Tarvin man.

Tristan Brown of Crossfields, appeared before Chester Magistrates on Wednesday charged with one count of possessing 12,165 images and videos of children, one of distributing pornographic images of children and 15 of making pornographic images of children.

The court heard 152 two images found on the computer, including eight videos, were of the most serious level five nature.

The photographs and images were found on Brown's computer following his arrest for his part in the post box bombings in rural Cheshire last summer.

Brown was arrested in November following a long investigation which caught him and Leon Terrace.

Brown, 27, is currently serving an 18 month sentence at Liverpool Altcourse prison for exploding the post boxes.

Magistrates deemed the child pornography charges too serious for them to deal with and will commit the case to Chester Crown Court.

Brown will appear before magistrates again on June 13 for the committal hearing.

He was given technical unconditional bail as he is serving a prison sentence.
