A HANDFUL of offenders who are causing misery for others in the Blacon Lodge and Blacon Hall communities are priorities for the Chester Outer police Community Action Team.

Police officers and Police Community Support Officers will spend the next few months working with partner agencies

gathering evidence against the list of named offenders, well-known to the police and partner agencies for their continual anti-social, aggressive and abusive behaviour.

Sgt Dave Barter, who is co-ordinating the effort, said: 'A small crowd of young people, mainly boys, are responsible for a huge percentage of the crimes and problems recorded in these areas. We will put a stop to this and our efforts start now.

'Over the coming weeks, people can expect to see lots of police activity in the area. We'll be putting our alcohol and vehicle seizure powers to good use as we're out and about on patrol and will be making arrests for those who are suspected of committing crime.'
