NORTH Wales Police are urging householders to be on their guard following a distraction burglary in Sealand.

At about 12.30pm last Wednesday, a man claiming to be a council official called at a property on Manor Road saying he needed to switch the water off.

Once inside the property, he asked if there was anyone else inside and when told there was, he left abruptly.

As the householder took the caller to the door a second man walked past the front of the house to speak to a third man. They all then walked off together. The second man had been seen at the back of the property while the caller was inside.

Nothing is believed to have been taken from the property.

The man who entered the house is white, about 5ft 7in and of thin build. He had dark hair, was clean shaven and aged between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a checked grey and blue shirt and blue jeans.

The second man is described as white, around 5ft 9in tall and of stocky build with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark coloured coat and dark coloured trousers.

Police are calling for anyone who saw the three men in the area on Wednesday, April 8, to contact Sgt Barnard or PC 2605 Mahoney on 0845 6071001
