POLICE are searching for a second man after a female hairdresser had a knife held to her throat during an armed robbery in Chester.

The staff member at Clippers on Lower Bridge Street was attacked by a man who escaped with a three-figure sum of money taken from the salon’s till today at 1.30pm.

Her injuries are thought to be minor but she has been taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital for treatment.

Police have already arrested a 26-year-old man in relation to the incident but are now looking for another male who is thought to be involved.

Officers are gathering CCTV footage from the scene and making further inquiries with surrounding businesses.
