POLICE have issued a nationwide appeal to try and identify a man who filmed himself sexually abusing young boys before posting the footage online for viewing paedophiles.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Paedophile Unit have released the man’s image to seek public help in tracing him.

Footage has been recovered by officers conducting pro-active covert inquiries on the internet.

The films were posted online and show the suspect sexually assaulting a number of victims, thought to be between six and ten years old.

While the image of the suspect is not very clear, officers are confident that anyone who knows him would recognise him.

The man is white, aged about 40, and of large build.

He is thought to have visited a number of countries, including Egypt, Malaysia and Italy, and it is thought the offences were committed in overseas countries.

The man is currently believed to have strong links to Dubai. He speaks with a northern accent, possibly from the Manchester area.

Anyone with information to assist the investigation is asked to contact the Met’s Paedophile Unit on 0207 161 2780, or, to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
