POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Chester city centre.

The 22-year-old male victim left Cruise nightclub to find friends about 12.30am on Tuesday February 22.

He walked along Pepper Street and turned right onto Bridge Street where he was approached by four men, one of whom demanded money and punched him in the face.

The victim, who handed over small amount of cash, ran off. He was left with slight swelling to his cheek.

Police say the offender is white, aged 16-18 years, with ginger hair and wearing a grey t-shirt with a grey shirt over the top. He had a nose piercing and black shoes.

One of the other men is white, aged 16-18 years with blond hair and was wearing a purple long sleeve shirt.

DC Stuart Needham said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who either witnessed the incident or has any information about the offenders. Were you in the area around the time of the robbery? If you may have seen something, please get in touch.”
