ENFORCEMENT officers will be monitoring drivers' speeds at two collision hotspots, using hand-held equipment.
Speed enforcement will be carried out between 10am and 3pm on the A5032 Chester Road, Whitby, on Wednesday March 9, and on Overpool Road, Ellesmere Port, on Friday, March 11.
Anyone exceeding the 30mph speed limit on either of the roads is likely to be pulled over, and could face a £60 fine and three penalty points on their driving licence.
Over a three-year period, 12 people were injured in traffic collisions on Chester Road and 14 people were hurt in smashes on Overpool Road.
Speed surveys showed that 60% of drivers were exceeding the 30mph limit on Chester Road and 37% on Overpool Road.
Sergeant Paul Martin of the Cheshire Safety Camera Partnership said: 'The partnership's mobile speed enforcement vehicles will visit these two sites once safe parking spaces have been provided.
'In the meantime, enforcement officers will be conducting speed enforcement on foot in a bid to deter drivers from exceeding the 30 mph limit.'
He added: 'We urge people to think carefully about the speed at which they are travelling and remember that slowing down by just a few miles an hour can help to make the roads safer for everyone.'
