DRIVERS and business people are appealing to a Chester car dealership to stop blocking short stay parking slots in a busy suburb.
They claim Saunders Honda cars are regularly parked outside the Flookersbrook pub on the junction of Ermine Road and Hoole Road.
Angry Mercedes driver Tim Dwyer uses the limited parking zone directly opposite the pub when carrying out business in Hoole.
He said: 'It's the only safe place to park up for 30 minutes but there are always Honda cars with Saunders' insignia parked in the short stay spots.'
A van driver who uses the same spot on business was also frustrated with the dealers.
He added: 'They shouldn't be doing it. I'm having to go right into the car showroom yard to turn around and I can never park there.'
Police road liaison officer Chris Burnham said: 'I've been in contact with Cheshire Highways department because there's an issue over the road markings.
'Once the double yellow lines and limited parking dashes have been repainted we will take appropriate action.'
Managing director Ron Saunders said: 'If we have at any stage contravened any parking restrictions, I can only apologise. We will always abide by the law and encourage my staff to be law abiding.'
