STUDENT photographers have put on a display of river-themed photography at Castle Park House, Frodsham.

The exhibition, which will be available to view until the end of January, was produced by students who took the digital photography for beginners course at the centre.

Castle Park House is a former Edwardian mansion now operated by Vale Royal Borough Council. It offers a range of council services as well as those of partner, voluntary and public sector organisations. The house reopened in the spring following restoration.

A group of 10 adult learners undertook the digital photography course and mounted an exhibition of more than 20 pieces. The theme of the exhibition is the River Weaver and its surroundings.

Students spent time on and around the Anderton Boat Lift, taking shots of the wildlife, water and industry found there. Action Weaver Valley funded the trip.

Castle Park offers a range of courses, including computer-led sessions such as digital photography, introduction to computers, web page design, introduction to the internet and e-mail and desktop publishing. There are also sessions available for local employers and their staff.
