A person has sustained 'serious injuries' after a crash near Manley .

Manley Lane had to be closed after the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 4).

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 2am.

The person was taken to hospital after first receiving first aid from firefighters.

Manley Lane stretches between the A56 and Manley Village, running near to the Manley Mere Adventure Trail centre.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "Firefighters administered first aid to a casualty, who sustained serious injuries, following a road traffic collision.

"The casualty was then handed to the care of paramedics and was taken to hospital by ambulance."
