ORGANISING is underway for the annual Kelsall Scarecrow Trail which is to brighten up the village once again this summer.

This ninth annual event will run from Saturday May 28 until Sunday June 12.

“We need as many of you to build a scarecrow, large or small, to make this year's event a success,” said organiser Fen Drew.

Entering a scarecrow is free and competitors can choose from two categories, Traditional or Heroes and Villains.

Winners will be announced at Kelsall County Primary School's Summer Fair on June 18 and prizes will be awarded for the best scarecrows.

Application forms are available from the Primary School, the Co-op, Holmes Pharmacy on Chester Road and Duttons Butchers on Church Street.
