A paramedic paid a visit to his old school to chat to pupils about his career.

Nathan Jefford from Leftwich, left Sir John Deane’s College in 2010 but returned recently to talk to those studying health and social care, applied science and biology about his job with the North West Ambulance Service.

After leaving college Nathan went on to study at Coventry University before becoming a paramedic based at Leftwich Ambulance Station.

Nathan answered questions from students considering a career as a paramedic and talked about situations he has faced in his daily routine.

Sarah-Jane Hair, who is in charge of health and social care at the college, said:

“It is great that Nathan is happy to give up his time to come into college to talk to interested students about being a paramedic.

“The students found the talk very useful especially since they were given lots of opportunities to have their questions answered.”
