CHILDREN at Weston Primary School had an egg-static time in the build-up to Easter.

A competition was held to design a poster as part of the school's Easter display, and to advertise its Easter Chocolate Bingo Evening.

There was a winner selected from each year group, and each received a delicious prize of a chocolate Easter bunny, as well as having their poster displayed at the school.

The Easter Bingo event itself was attended by children, parents and friends, competing for prizes including a big fluffy bunny and lots of chocolate eggs.

The event was organised by the school's PTA, and as many as 135 adults and children enjoyed the festivities.

School spokeswoman, Tania Roberts, said: 'It was great to see everyone joining in the fun, and I'm certain that all who attended had a super time.

'The money raised from the event was a fabulous £440 and this, of course, will be put to good use by the school.'
