TARVIN Community Centre is preparing for a busy autumn.

The centre in Meadow Close has a diary full of events over the next few months.

A three part course in Emergency First Aid Training will kick off the busy season on September 6, running for three weeks until September 20.

The course will cover all basic injuries and common medical conditions and is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive.

It will also run for three weeks in October and November, each time for two hours from 7.30pm at £25 per person. Course completion will include a manual and certificate in Emergency First Aid.

Numbers are limited so it is advisable to book early. Contact Alan Wilkinson on 01829 740868 or 07851631010 or email a.wilkinson@btinternet.com.

September 17 will see the centre playing host to regional favourites The Merseysippi Jazz Band who have been delighting jazz fans across the North West for decades.

Tickets are just £8 with bar and snacks available on the night.

Contact 01829 740109 or 01829 740868 or the Post Office for tickets.

Other events at the centre include Ashton Hayes Theatre Group’s annual autumn production on November 9-12 and a Multiple Sclerosis Charity Dance Show on November 19.
