POSSIBLE overlooking and loss of privacy were raised when plans were put forward for extensions to a detached cul-de-sac property backing on to railway lines.

The application was made at 17 Sherwood Grove, Helsby, by Mr Pugh who told planning officers he was seeking approval for first-floor extensions over a garage and a single-storey extension.

Lifting the roof would deal with limited head height in bedrooms over the garage and the extension over the single-storey space would allow both bedrooms to be enlarged. There would be no changes to the ground floor.

The application was recommended for approval and permission was agreed.
