Motorists are facing disruption in Chester this morning as sets of traffic lights at Overleigh Roundabout on the A5104 Hough Green have failed (November 19).

Traffic is backing up on the A5104 and the A483 Wrexham Road in both directions.

The lights have been out since last night.

A spokesperson for Cheshire West and Chester Council confirmed there was a fault with the signals, which an engineer is on site repairing.

She revealed the council is planning to upgrade the traffic lights in January.

Drivers are advised to approach the area with caution.

A fault with the traffic lights brought the city to a standstill during a Friday night rush hour in September.
