Hundreds of Club Individual members and guests visited the Pepper Street restaurant in Chester to celebrate the official opening of the new £3m Opera Grill.

Throughout the evening guests were treated to complimentary champagne and a variety of tasty canapés, ranging from Yakatori chicken to Wagyu beef skewers and iced banana profiteroles.

Music was provided by resident DJ Julien Jeanne and Opera Grill’s in-house band The Collective, who were joined by guest singers former X Factor contestant Kiera Weathers and Lisa Millett. The Collective play every Wednesday at Opera Grill.

Entertainment was also provided by speed painter Dave Sharp, who wowed guests with his lightning speed recreations of Jose Mourinho and Pepe Guardiola, which he originally painted for the Premiership clash of the local rivals.

To add to the glamour, local racing driver Seb Morris arrived in his Bentley GT, welcoming guests into the party ahead of his British GT Championship finale at Donnington Park.

Seb said: “Chester is my hometown, so I was thrilled that Opera Grill invited me to take part in their launch party. I have visited the restaurant regularly since it opened and I both the venue and the food are amazing. I think Opera Grill looks set to become ‘the place’ to eat and drink in Chester.”

General manager of Opera Grill Tom Culshaw added: “The launch party went fantastically well. Lots of people came along to see our new addition, everyone enjoyed themselves into the early hours. We saw lots of old friends, made many new ones and look forward to seeing everyone again soon.”
