EVERYONE who enters this year's Easter Sunday Run The Bridge race will contribute to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Halton and Hale Road Race Committee and Halton Borough Council says part of each runner's entry fee will be set aside to raise what is hoped will be a substantial amount for the charity.
The race organisers hope this will encourage more runners to take part in the five-mile race.
Bill Sergeant, chairman of the race committee, said: 'We are committed to running the race so that everyone, no matter what their ability, can take part and hopefully raise lots of cash for the Macmillan Cancer Support appeal.
'By using part of the entry fee as a start, everyone who enters the race will be contributing to a grand total, even if they are not able to get further sponsorship from their friends.
'You don't have to be a good runner - we have had people in the past who have taken over an hour to complete the course.'
