If you remember Chester in the 1960s, some of the images here will really take you back.

Some of the snaps, from Chester History & Heritage Centre’s archive, document a time of great change in the city – such as the construction of the Blacon flats, and the building of the Grosvenor Precinct.

Blacon train station is also shown here in the 1960s, and you can tell just how different Northgate Street used to look as it’s pictured here in 1970. There is also a snap that takes us all the way back to 1930.
