To the untrained eye these spooky images look like shadows and smudges.

But Christine Hamlett claims these are the faces of spirits who show themselves to her in water – including the ghosts of the King of Rock and Roll Elvis and Queen of Hearts Princess Diana.

Do you think this is the ghost of Elvis?

The 57-year-old, who calls herself a rescue medium, carries out the sittings in her house in Northwich using a steel dish filled with water, and gets her husband to take the photographs.

These images are just a handful of around 600 that Christine has developed after trying out the ‘Instrumental Transcommunication’ technique, but she admits that many of them are filled with ‘nothing’.

The grandmother of 12, who is regarded as one of the UK’s leading mediums and has even appeared in her own TV show in Canada, has been contacted by families all over the world to trace missing relatives and even help solve murders.

Christine, who is a physic artist, claims she recently came face to face with a spooky ‘Black Eyed Child’ in Cannock Chase, Staffordshire.

She recently claimed to have found the final resting place of Moors Murder victim Keith Bennett, with her fellow medium Jackie Dennison from Barnton.

Is this the ghost of Princess Di?

But the great-grandmother of three, known by her grandchildren as ‘Nana Witch’, knows that not everyone will believe her – including her own husband who she says has an ‘open mind’.

“I’m not into doing readings, I specialise in helping spirits to go through into the light, some are frightened,” said Christine, who uses her gatekeeper Loni to make contact with the spiritualist world.

“I just talk to them and try to convince them. Some have a story to tell or have some investigative work that needs doing – I will do it for them.

“I can sense if someone is sceptical. Believe me or don’t believe me. I know what I know and what I have experienced.”

Christine said that Loni makes sure that no bad ghosts get through and hurt her, but that she has dealt with some ‘nasty spirits’, including criminals who have committed horrific crimes.

And she says she feels how people have died – she has felt like she is being strangled, like she is freezing and like she has deadly diseases.

“I went to a place and it felt like I was being strangled, like something was around my neck. I found out later that someone had hanged themselves,” she said.

“It goes as soon as I have taken the spirit into the light.”

Spiritualism runs in Christine’s family, her great-grandmother practised in the 1950s and had a crystal ball which was passed to her when she was young but Christine says at that point she could only see colours.

But when she was nine years old, Christine was befriended by a young girl – it was only when she was older she thought it was odd and asked if anyone else had ever seen her.

‘I was talking to my aunt one day and she went white. The girl was the same age as my aunt and she had drown in the river when she was a little girl,” said Christine.

“She said she went to see her in her coffin and she looked like Alice from Alice in Wonderland and she was holding a teddy bear. I realised then that she was a ghost.”

Christine decided to develop her skills when she was 28 when her dad died and she tried to go looking for him. She ended up at the Spiritualist Church Movement, and said her father phoned her, as spirits can use the phone.

But she can’t see into the future, as she said: “I’m a clairvoyant medium, I know there are people who don’t believe it, that is fine, they do not have to.”
