NO OBJECTIONS were raised when plans were put forward for a single storey extension at the rear of a Malpas property.

The application was made at 35 Springfield Avenue by Mrs Walker.

The semi is in a row of similar houses, according to a report.

The extension, running across the rear of the property for just under 7m, would have a pitched roof, planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council were told.

Some demolition work would be involved to remove an existing extension.

No comments were made by Malpas Parish Council or by neighbours.

The main issues were said to be the effect of the extension on the character of the area and on residential amenity.

The extension would be in keeping with the character of the property and the wider area, planners believed.

The extension would be 0.5m from the boundary and there would be no unacceptable loss of privacy or overlooking for neighbours.

The application was recommended for approval and this was agreed by the borough council.
