A STRONG sense of community spirit was on display at the Diamond Jubilee party in Newtown beneath the shadow of the high rise flats.
There was something for young and old at the fun event, with plenty of food served beneath gazebos, featuring a union jack design, erected on a grassy central area.
Neighbours chatted over a cuppa. There was old time music and youngsters enjoyed the bouncy castle in the afternoon sunshine.
