NO REPRESENTATIONS were made when plans were put forward for signage at Chester Zoo.

For the zoo, Tim Merrifield told planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council he was seeking consent for two illuminated signs at the Tsavo cafe and restaurant.

The building is near the main entrance to the zoo, according to a report.

The signs would be ‘modest’ in size, planners believed, and would be in keeping with the character of the restaurant building. They would not detract from visual amenity.

The application was recommended for approval and the council agreed the proposed new signs could have consent.
