A furniture retailer is opening a store-within-a-store on Chester’s Greyhound Retail Park.
The dwell opening, within the existing DFS, takes place on Saturday May 14 as part of a nationwide expansion.
DFS bought dwell's brand and assets after it went into administration.
Creating seven new jobs, the retailer says the large 4500 sq ft space with free parking facilities will offer those in Chester and surrounding areas ‘an exciting, stylish and new shopping experience’.
Situated on the well-known Chaser Court, Greyhound Park, the outlet will also feature a ‘click and collect’ point for customers who wish to buy online and then pick up their goods from the store.
Store manager Liam Clarke said: “House proud shoppers in Chester love dwell, so we’re really excited to be opening a new and refreshed concept store, which will allow customers to see our cool and contemporary designs as well as providing lots of interior inspiration.
“Spring is in full swing and the ideal time to update your home and with the vast choice of furniture and accessories at dwell, as well as plenty of stock, it couldn’t be faster or easier.”
Dwell CEO and founder Aamir Ahmad added: “We are confident and optimistic about the future of dwell. Strong sales and healthy margins are encouraging and we are looking forward to continuing on this trajectory in 2016.”
Delivering product within seven days, dwell says its mission is to ‘make personalising homes with unique, design-led furniture an easy, affordable pleasure’.
Aside from Chester, dwell currently have 11 other stores: Tottenham Court Road; Westfield White City; Westfield Stratford, Glasgow and the recently opened Tollcross, New Malden, Reading, Oxford, Slough, Manchester and Warrington. Further nationwide expansion is planned throughout the year.
