CHESHIRE West and Chester’s management board and executive will be outlining the new council’s key priorities at a public event being held on Thursday (January 22).

Residents, businesses, voluntary groups and partner organisations are all invited to meet the top team at the event being held at the Holiday Inn, Ellesmere Port, from 7pm to 8.30pm.

This is the first of three opportunities to meet key officers and councillors and learn more about Cheshire West and Chester, with events also being held in Winsford Civic Hall on Wednesday, January 28, 7pm-8.30pm, and Chester Guild Hall on Thursday, January 29, 7pm-8.30pm.

Council Leader Cllr Mike Jones and Chief Executive Steve Robinson will be introducing the new council’s portfolio holders and directors who will be spearheading Cheshire West and Chester’s drive to become one of the country’s best performing councils when it takes over the running of local services in Cheshire West from April.

People will be able to ask questions of the key decision makers and provide feedback about what they hear.

The Leader of Cheshire West and Chester Shadow Authority Cllr Mike Jones said: “Working closely with our communities is key to Cheshire West and Chester’s success, which is why we would encourage as many residents and stakeholders as possible to come along to these events.”

Steve Robinson, Cheshire West and Chester’s Chief Executive, added: “People who attend will learn more about Cheshire West and Chester’s plans and approach, as well as being able to get involved in discussion groups being led by directors and portfolio holders. It’s a great opportunity to put faces to names and continue the process of building strong links with our communities.”

All three events will include:
