VILLAGERS will be able to get behind the wheel of a new eco-friendly electrical car for the first time this weekend.
Ashton Hayes will be one of the first places in the country to have its own eco vehicle when the Nissan Leaf car is officially launched on Saturday.
Also being unveiled will be the brand new carbon neutral sports pavilion where the car will be housed.
Its roof is covered in solar panels so it can generate its own electricity, and the car can be charged from the building.
The launch will be open to the public at the Pavilion at 3pm.
