OLDER people in Mid Cheshire are being given an opportunity to go horse riding.
The pilot project will run for six weeks giving four complete beginners over the age of 55 the chance to learn about riding and horses.
Alex Major, of Hartford-based Age Concern, Cheshire, said: 'We are really grateful to our partners at Sandy Lane Equestrian Centre and Cheshire County Council's social services team for giving older people the chance to enjoy riding and to reap all the benefits associated with it. It just goes to show that it is never too late to take up a new interest and try something new.' n To find out more about the Riding for Health project or the Get Active scheme, call on 01606 881660.
