A road has been closed in Neston as a result of a burst water main.
Cheshire Police officers have closed Hinderton Road in Neston following the leak.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
United Utilities said engineers are currently at the scene investigating the problem.
A spokesman said: "I can confirm a water main has burst between Bushell Road and Hinderton Road.
"Engineers are currently at the scene and are working to solve the problem."
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “We were called at 2.20pm this afternoon (Thursday) to reports of a burst water main.
“Hinderton Road has been closed and we are currently assisting other agencies.”
It is not known how long the road will remain closed.
