HIGH-fives flew at Neston High School after five pupils gained three A grades in their A-levels.

But Chris Ridgeway went one better than that to take three As and one B.

James Annakin-Smith, Pippa Buist, Michael Farrell, Tom Rafferty and Jessica Edge all gained three As, with Olivia Stone, Helen Williams and Lauren Christensen getting two As and one B.

Overall the school gained 100% pass rate.

Headteacher Steven Dool said: “Most pleasing about this year’s performance are those students who have achieved beyond their statistically predicted grades. We at Neston believe that it is important for students to be aspirational in setting targets for themselves and students have clearly risen to this challenge.

“I should like to congratulate the students on their success, to thank parents for their continued support and the teaching staff of Neston High School for their hard work and commitment. What better way could there be to celebrate 50 years of learning at Neston High School that this?”
