NESTON High School students have done themselves proud with their achievements at GCSE this year.

The school revealed 35 of its students achieved five or more A* and A grades, while a record 220 students achieved five passes at A* to C (90%).

Top performers include Amy Bettam (7 A*s, 2 As); Sharman Collins (6 A*s, 3 As); Bethany Richardson (5 A*s, 4 As); Laura McGrath (4 A*s, 5 As); Lucy Mothersdale (4 A*s, 5 As); Adam Roberts (4 A*s, 4 As).

Headteacher Stephen Dool said that, along with excellent sixth form achievements, ‘it was clear these results will prepare youngsters well for exciting opportunities that lie ahead’.

“Well done to all staff and students and also to parents who I know have supported the students so well throughout the year,” he said.
