Police say no arrests were made in connection with a naked teenager who was seen wandering around an Ellesmere Port housing estate earlier this week.

Shocked members of the public reported sightings of the nude 16-year-old on Stanney Woods Avenue and Rona Avenue to the police at around 8.30pm on Tuesday.

When officers located him they then discovered another teenage boy in Stanney Woods and later said the pair were under the influence of an internet-bought psychedelic drug.

Today the police confirmed they had not arrested either of the teenagers but said both were taken home to their parents and given words of advice.

After the incident, Sgt John Taylor from Cheshire Police said: “The outcome of this could have been a lot worse. It is worrying that the boys got the drugs, believed to be LSD, from the internet.

"Besides the fact they are illegal, you don’t know what you are buying and what is contained in them, putting you at real risk.

"In this case it had an effect that left the two boys in a vulnerable state and one member of the public who came to help almost got punched."
