GREASE is the word at a Chester high school.

Students at Queen’s Park High School have put on a production of the 50s-set hit musical made famous by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.

The lead roles of Sandy and Danny were played by Year 12 students Chloe Yates and Callum Scott, both newcomers to the Queen’s Park High School stage.

Ellie Robertson, April Sutherland, Becky Williams and Rachel Owens were in the pink as the Pink Ladies while Alex Keirl, Harry Amner, Callum Dean and Ryan Salmon put on their leather jackets and greased their hair back for their roles as the macho T Birds.

With over 100 students involved both on stage and behind the scenes, it has been a challenge for the staff involved in mounting the production.

Director Matt Yeoman and musical director Clare Phillips said: “It has been a wonderful experience working with such a large vibrant cast for the past three months.”
