YOUNG singers from three Chester primary schools have sung out in celebration of 60 years of the Queen’s reign.

Pupils from Kingsley, Newton and Overleigh St Mary’s CE primary schools joined the Chester St Cecilia Singers at All Saints’ Church in Hoole for the concert Music for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

In the finale, the adults and children came together to sing Bob Chilcott’s Be Thou My Vision, Antony Baldwin’s When I Survey the Wondrous Cross and Handel’s Zadok the Priest.

The idea for the concert came from three primary school teachers Beverley Atherton, Fiona Rimmer and Susan Stringer, who all sing with Chester St Cecilia Singers.
