TWO men charged with murder could stand trial at Chester Crown Court in November.
Wesley Dennis Rowlands, 29, of Chevron Close, Blacon, and Glen Robert Baker, 31, of Pulford Road, Blacon, are charged with murdering David Lavender from Sycamore Drive, Lache.
The body of dad-of-three Mr Lavender, 37, a former Queen’s Park High School pupil, was found in the entrance to Edgar’s Field Park, Handbridge, about 11.15pm on Sunday, May 20.
The court heard the defendants will be asked to enter pleas on September 17.
The date for a possible trial, which is expected to take two to three weeks, has been provisionally set for November 12.
There were no bail applications made with respect to either Rowlands and Baker when they appeared before Recorder of Chester Judge Elgan Edwards, who remanded the pair in custody following a brief hearing on Monday.
Judge Edwards is expected to be the trial judge in the case.
