STAFF members at a Malpas technology firm put on their running shoes to give a multiple sclerosis centre a charitable boost.

i7 Technologies, based in Hampton, presented a £585 cheque to the MS Support Centre, River Lane, Saltney, as the result of a 10km cross country fundraiser two of its employees took part in.

Managing director Steve Farmer and engineer Johnathon Quinn completed the distance at the Cholmondeley event in April.

They have helped raise funds for the centre, which i7 Technologies supplies with IT systems, to help keep the centre using the latest technology.

The cash injection comes as the centre is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Steve said: “I am delighted to have finished in one piece and even more delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile cause – i7 would like to offer a huge vote of thanks to everybody who supported us and donated so generously!”

Neil Kemsley, a trustee of the centre, said “Steve and his team have been a great practical support to us in providing an efficient and friendly service to a small charity. We are delighted we can help them in return.”
