MOUSTACHES at a Chester company have raised more than £5,000 for charity.
More than 60 male colleagues at M&S Money signed up for a ‘Movember’ fundraiser resulting in over £5,000 being raised for The Prostate Cancer Charity.
‘Movember’ is an international event, aimed at raising both awareness of, and funds for prostate cancer research.
Š Participation requires men being sponsored to grow a moustache during the month of November – the moustache becoming the ribbon for men’s health.Š
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and 36,000 are diagnosed every year, and 250,000 currently living with the disease.
Jeni Underhill, community relations manager at M&S Money, said: “We are delighted to be able to support our people in their efforts to fundraise for a chosen charity.
“We were able to fund-match the money raised through sponsorship, and are delighted that such a significant amount was raised for this charity.”
