A HOST of major developments for visitors and a hoard of headline events look set to make it a season to remember at Oulton Park.
The Little Budworth circuit’s 2010 calendar opens this Easter weekend with the hotly contested British F3 and supercar class GT Championships, giving race fans the first chance to try the Cheshire track’s improved racing facilities.
A new viewing area at Britten’s Hairpin will give racing fans the first access to hairpin of the circuit in its 60 year history, offering an impressive view of more than three quarters of the circuit through Shell Oils Corner and Hill Top.
Circuit manager Simon Bonser said: “We have worked very hard over the winter to make sure that visiting Oulton Park in 2010 will be an even more pleasurable experience for the tens of thousands of visitors that will come through our gates.
“Over the past few years, more and more spectators have begun to take advantage of our superb camping amenities at the circuit.
“So it’s very important to MotorSport Vision that our visitors can enjoy tasty food, clean facilities and a quiet and safe environment during their stay in the area.”
As well as improving views around the circuit visitors can enjoy a new menu in the popular Chequers restaurant after MSV has taken over the catering facilities.
Drivers and their families will benefit from a new quiet camping area.
Highlights for this season include the MCE British Superbike Championship on May 1-3 and October 9-10 which will see former British and World Superbike champion Neil Hodgson, who will make his much-anticipated return to UK soil with the Motorpoint Yamaha team.
The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship – featuring the series biggest field for years – will take centre stage on June 5-6.
Other highlights include the Modified Live performance car festival in April, a Vintage Sports Car Festival in May, and the Oulton Park Gold Cup over August Bank Holiday weekend.
