The family of a 59-year-old man who died following a three-vehicle crash on the outskirts of Northwich have paid an emotional tribute to him.

Dennis Heesom, who lived near Northwich, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on King Street.

His family said he loved the outdoors, his job, music and socialising.

“Dennis was the centre of family life and will be missed by us all,” they said.

Mr Heesom leaves behind a wife, daughter and son.

The incident, which happened at the junction of Davenham Road, Crowder’s Lane and King Street, involved Mr Heesom’s silver Vauxhall Corsa, a white HGV and a silver Vauxhall Astra.

A 27-year-old-man from Connah’s Quay who was driving the HGV was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
