A MOTHER and toddlers group enjoyed a visit from Eddisbury MP Stephen O'Brien.

Mr O'Brien and Cheshire West and Chester was joined by Cllr Eleanor Johnson who chatted and drank tea with the new mums and talked to the children at the former Dunham Hill CP School , in Dunham Hill.

Set up two years ago to bring mothers in the community together, the club now has 18 regular mums, who travel from as far away as the Wirral to meet every Thursday.

The building is now run as a community centre for the village by the Dunham on the Hill and Hapsford Community Project.

Rosemary Fielding, founder of the mother and toddler group said: “The group is totally run by volunteers.

“I started the group because I remember what it feels like to be new to a village and when you have a small child you can be very isolated.”

New members are always welcome every Thursday.
