THERE have been more arrests in relation to an alleged assault outside Chester Crown Court on a woman acquitted of murder.

Nicola Bishop, 25, was found not guilty of murdering Fynn Western-Davey at her Balmoral Park home in Chester but her fiancé Jason Howells was found guilty of his manslaughter.

On Monday of last week Miss Bishop, who was following the trial from the public gallery, alleges she was assaulted outside the entrance to Chester Crown Court about 4pm.

Stacey Ward, 22, girlfriend of the deceased, walked into a police station about 9.10pm that day and was held in custody overnight.

Jordan Mehta, 25, and Alex Wallace, 24, both friends of Mr Western-Davey, were later arrested. All three have been bailed until September 10 pending further enquiries.

Miss Bishop alleges she was punched, pulled down to the ground by her hair and kicked and stamped on while on the ground.

She was taken by ambulance to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Miss Bishop attended court on crutches for the rest of the trial.
