A HOMELESS charity is celebrating a double success.

Comparison website Moneysupermarket.com has donated £1,500 to Save the Family in response to a wish list from the charity.

The aim was to equip the kitchens and homes of families at the Chester-based charity’s main homeless centre Plas Bellin Hall, Northop, Flintshire.

Save the Family fundraising officer Angella Rawsthorne said: “We cannot thank Moneysupermarket enough for their extremely kind donation.

“The families which we help desperately need to experience stable family life and the items purchased will be one step towards that.

“It is just so fantastic that the well-known business Moneysupermarket has supported us!”

Jeanette Tyson, of Moneysupermarket, said: “It is great that there is a charity such as Save the Family which works to help vulnerable families.

“Our donation will go towards the vital work that they do in keeping homeless families together.”

Save the Family is also celebrating an office move.

The charity has moved from its city centre office in Abbey Green to Sealand Road.

The new location, within Big Storage’s business centre, offers convenient parking which makes it easier for visitors to drop in.

The office is the base for the charity’s finance, human resources and fundraising team.

The new contact details are Save the Family, Unit 1, The Printworks, Sealand Road, Chester, CH1 4RN.
